robuCAB 4 on BBC news 03/10/07
Back to the list
Last week, ROBOSOFT has demonstrated a new feature of its robuBOX-CyberCar (for autonomous vehicles and Cybernetic Transport Systems) fully developed with Microsoft® Robotics Studio .
In the videos available on BBC website , ROBOSOFT robuCAB4 moves with a virtual tow-bar, following another vehicle thanks to a laser scanner and ROBOSOFT's platooning algorithms.
This demonstration , sponsored by the European Commission through the project Citymobil, took place at Daventry (UK), during a showcase organized for the city Council.
A few months ago, ROBOSOFT already demonstrated GPS-based navigation amgorithms in Anglet (France), allowing autonomous guidance of Cybercars without any infrastructure. (video on this page )
ROBOSOFT already integrates 80% of software complexity in its robuBOX, a generic software module based on Microsoft Robotics Studio, which is already incorporated in all ROBOSOFT’s service robots, but can also be licensed to integrators and robots manufacturers for mass production.
